Uses
Postoperative Inflammation: Relieves inflammation and pain after cataract surgery.
Ocular Discomfort: Reduces eye discomfort and swelling following eye surgeries.
How It Works
Bromfenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, reducing the production of prostaglandins, chemicals responsible for causing inflammation and pain in the eyes.
How to Use
Wash your hands thoroughly before use.
Tilt your head back and gently pull down the lower eyelid to create a pocket.
Instill the prescribed number of drops into the lower eyelid pocket.
Close your eye and gently press the inner corner near the nose for about 1 minute to prevent the drops from draining.
Recap the bottle and wash your hands again.
Typical Dosage
1 drop in the affected eye(s) once or twice a day, or as prescribed by your doctor.
Common Side Effects
Mild eye irritation or burning sensation.
Temporary blurred vision.
Increased sensitivity to light.
Eye redness or itching.
Precautions
Allergies: Avoid if allergic to Bromfenac or other NSAIDs.
Contact Lenses: Remove soft contact lenses before applying and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting them.
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding: Consult your doctor before use.
Children & Elderly: Use with caution, as safety and effectiveness are not well established in these populations.
